Danny Tauroa
Head of Sport and Physical Education Teacher
Danny heads the GEMS Rugby 7s Academy and Performance Athlete Programme that provide opportunities for our aspiring athletes to reach peak performance in sports. He has been involved in sports his whole life, represented New Zealand in volleyball and his province in rugby. Danny coached the Singapore National rugby teams (2007-2014) and also featured as a television studio commentator for Fox Sport Asia during the most recent two Rugby World Cup tournaments.
Claire Rimmer
Art Subject Leader and Visual Arts Teacher
Claire is passionate about being an educator and considers herself very much a lifelong learner; a trait she encourages all her students to embrace. She has been an international teacher for more than 20 years, after initially enjoying 3 years teaching in Leeds in the UK. Before moving to Singapore with her family she taught Grades 6-12 in 2 international schools in the Middle East. Claire is an active participant in school productions, charity work and sporting events.
Patrick Holt
Head of Educational Technology and Individuals & Societies Teacher
Patrick believes that teachers are leaders, and the best leaders are role models, and they lead through influence and example rather than their authority. After twenty-five years of working with children and youth, fifteen overseas, these values have remained at the core of his practice as have led to a variety of positions as a leader and teacher of children and youth from Canada, to the isle of Taiwan, Doha,Qatar and finally to his current home in Singapore
Rae Ming Lei
Modern Languages Subject Leader and a Mandarin Language Teacher
Rae loves teaching and being around students. “Students made me who I am and they have changed the way I look at the world. Rae brings with her 19 years of teaching experience from 3 countries. Prior to moving to Singapore 6 years ago, Rae lived in the UAE, Germany and China, where she worked as Lead teacher in PYP Chinese, MYP Chinese Department Coordinator, Trained IGCSE teacher, AP Chinese coordinator and Head of Foreign Language.
Angela Gravina
Language and Literature and Drama teacher
Angela has been teaching internationally for more than 20 years. Over her teaching career she has taught Language and Literature, EAL, Drama, History and Psychology. She is interested in costume design and choral music.
